Jnr Golfers Bring home medals

July 30, 2016

On this final day of the JRT / TAG – Yeppoon Golf Classic July 26 – 30, 2016, great news has come from the other side of the globe, with local lads Aidan and Ben Scott taking Silver Medals in the West Coast AAU Olympic Games Golf Championship in California today.

Aidan (9yrs) shot 43-41-41 and Ben (14yrs) 79-78-73. Eldest brother Caleb (17) finished with a 78 on the final day doing the family and our region proud.

Keppel Bay Marina has been a proud sponsor of the Scott brothers, championing fundraising to send them to this competition.

Special thanks go to The Waterline Restaurant, Keppel Bay Marina, JRT Group, Coal Train, Capricorn Coast Sand & Soil, David Cugola, Peter Moss, Pure Gold Pineapples and the many others who attended the Capricorn Coast Junior Golf Fundraiser at The Waterline or contributed to other activities raising the funds to send these boys to the US.

Congratulations to Aiden, Ben and Caleb you have done us proud, travel safe. I think there is going to be some celebrating going on tonight at the Coal Train Gala Ball!!
