Waterline Restaurant welcome Emu Park RSL
The Waterline Restaurant welcomed Emu Park RSL representatives to lunch this month to present a $203 cheque from Anzac Day donations.
The Waterline Restaurant General Manager Kylie Smith said they were so pleased to be able to donate one dollar from every meal served on Anzac Day back to the Emu Park RSL.
“Opening our doors to more than 200 Emu Park RSL members, defence force veterans, guests and service attendees on Anzac Day was a real honour.
“The Emu Park RSL are a big supporter of the community andvwe wanted to be able to help them continue with that support through our donation,” Ms Smith said.
Emu Park RSL Secretary, Jon Willson said they really appreciated the efforts of the Waterline restaurant.
“The Emu Park RSL is very active amongst our community and the money that the Waterline restaurant has raised will go towards helping to look after our veterans,” he said.
This year saw over 5000 people flock to pay their respects at the dawn and morning services hosted by the Emu Park RSL.
Waterline Restaurant and Emu Park RSL are looking forward to partnering together again in 2018 to commemorate Anzac Day.
