Dredging Rosslyn Bay Harbour

DREDGING commences in Rosslyn Bay Harbour

Queensland Transport has commenced maintenance dredging of Rosslyn Bay Harbour Entrance and channels.
Dredge Darwin operates Monday to Saturday from 7am to 6pm, and maintains listening watch on VHF Channel 16.

 

The dredging program covers the entrance, navigation channels, access to Keppel Bay Marina, and all areas around the public piles. It is expected to be completed in September 2016.

 

The offshore disposal is within a 200m diameter area located 1.1km north east of the Rosslyn Bay Boat Harbour entry beacon.

 

The centre of the disposal area is at approximate position latitude 23°09’07.8”, longitude 150°47’48.0” The discharge consists of a floating pipe with 2 large orange floats and marked by a yellow buoy with yellow flashing light.

 

Vessel owners please proceed with caution at all times, and stay up to date via Notices to Mariners.
